I’m a new resident of Flagstaff and applauded the Comprehensive Planning effort the citizens and county/city government have engaged in. But I must comment that inspire of what seems to be an effort to be inclusive there are some glaring blocks to that effort. I’m quite computer literate, I think, and have advanced computer equipment but because I’m one of many in the county that chooses not to have Twitter or Facebook accounts, I cannot participate in online public review or comments using your blog. If there is another online way to be included, I would appreciate your direction.

I also reviewed the plan documents on line as well as agendas, minutes and documents on the City’s and CAC’s websites but oddly documents, maps and presentations were not found. So I anticipated I could find these things at the Flagstaff City Library or at the Planning Dept of the Flagstaff City Hall. But the Plan could not be found by the Library staff and the very nice and helpful staff at the Planning Dept at city hall could not locate the plan, maps or any documents. In fact they were not aware of the Flagstaff Regional Plan 2012 or 2030. To their great credit they offered to consult with the Planning Director when he or she was out of meetings and contact me. I declined their offer as I really didn’t desire to make an issue of this as I may not have done my online homework well enough. But now I think I have and find I’m not able to obtain some of the basic and proffered documents nor participate in electronically in full.

I again would be most appreciative if you could direct me to a place where I might see the maps associated with the draft plan.
